Being a second year teacher, I am still learning how to best teach different students. This year, I have many students that are on the Autism spectrum. Learning to deal with the characteristics of these students and figuring out how to keep them engaged has been tough. This week, I decided to research the background of Autism and try to find a technology that may help with trying to teach these students. For my research about autism, please click here.
The technology I found to help with my Autistic students is called Tap to Talk. This technology allows children with verbal communication problems to click on certain pictures and talks for them. This technology can help with the child’s inability for social interactions as well. For an example of this technology, watch the screencast below.
