Harry Potter 4 Life

Anyone who knows me knows that Harry Potter is life.  I started reading the books in 1997 when my Grandma bought me the first three books for Christmas because she knew I liked reading.  My grandma signed the books and it was the first step to my Harry Potter obsession.
I remember when the last book was released.  Of course, I pre-ordered it, but my obsession went one step further.  I stood in line at 7 am outside of the local Borders, just to get a wrist band.  Yes, a wrist band.  I then went back at 8 pm for the Harry Potter party.  There was games, people dressed up, food, and so much more.  I ended up being the 10th person in line to get my book at midnight.  Around 11 pm, two people came running into the Borders screaming “Harry Potter dies.”  I remember the terror in everyone’s faces and the shock that rippled through the store.  Just to find out if it was true, I read the entire book in 21 hours without sleeping.  It was totally worth it.
On the almost 10th year anniversary of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows being released, I brought back the obsession.  I got my first large tattoo on my right arm.  My tattoo artist completely designed the entire thing.  It was amazing!  It turned out exactly the way I had envisioned.  She included so many aspects of Harry Potter like the snitch, sorting hat, Hogwarts, Quidditch field, stag, Forbidden Forest, and of course “Always.”  Now I will always have Harry Potter with me!
In addition, my book club and I hosted a Harry Potter birthday this past weekend.  We completely thought we would be original with the idea.  Shockingly, there were SO MANY PEOPLE hosting Harry Potter parties!  I couldn’t believe it.  But, we were able to create so many different Harry Potter themed foods!  We had Hogs Head Cornish Meatballs, Snitch Cheese Ball, Polyjuice Potion, Harry Potter birthday cake, Chocolate wands, and so much more!  It was a blast.
Harry Potter forever!
