Teaching for Understanding with Technology

During my first semester at Michigan State, I had the opportunity to take CEP 810 which dealt with teaching for understanding using technology. During this course, I learned how important it is to repurpose technology and ensure that technology supports content and does not just provide busy work for the students.

Below are some of the awesome projects that I was able to work on throughout the semester:

My biggest project was attempting to learn iMovie by only using Help Forums and YouTube. I had a lot of fun with this project. Below are updates as I attempted to create a video using iMovie.

Creating my professional learning network (PLN) was fun! I met a lot of new teachers and became inspired by a ton of great ideas!

Getting Things Done (GTD) was hard for me since I had already had a system. However, it was great to learn about all of the different ways I could stay organized.

I am extremely proud of this lesson plan, which is set out for 7th graders.
